The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs.62.5200 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs.84.6710 on September 23, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (September 20, 2013) were Rs.62.2430 and Rs.84.2295 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference Rate: central bank published exchange-rate benchmarks for major currencies, with derived cross-currency rates and SDR linkage. Reserve Bank of India published the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the Euro for September 23, 2013, and provided the previous day's corresponding rates; it also derived Rupee exchange rates for the British Pound and Japanese Yen using the US dollar reference and cross-currency middle rates, and stated that the SDR-Rupee rate will be based on the published reference rate.
