During the Current Financial Year, a total of 360 Investor Awareness Programmes have been organized by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in various parts of the country through its 3 Professional Institutes: Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. During the last month i.e. August, a total of 86 programmes were organized.
During the last Financial Year a total of 1,986 Investor Awareness Programmes were organized. For these Programmes, an amount of Rs. 5 crore has been earmarked in the budget of the Ministry.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has started organizing the Investor Awareness Programmes in the rural areas of the country also. For this the Ministry has engaged the services of CSC e-Governance Services India Limited. In recent months the Ministry has conducted many such programmes in collaboration with this agency in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab.
Investor Awareness Programmes expand through professional institute collaboration and rural e governance partnership, backed by ministry budget. Investor Awareness Programmes are delivered by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs through professional institute partners, supported by a central budget allocation, and have been extended into rural areas via engagement of an e governance implementation partner to administer state level events.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
