The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs.64.2347 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs.85.9342 on August 26, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (August 23, 2013) were Rs.64.6880 and Rs.86.3035 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference exchange rate publication sets rupee rates from USD and Euro references and guides SDR rupee conversion. The Reserve Bank publishes the reference exchange rates for major currencies, giving the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the Euro and comparing them with the previous business day; it also derives GBP and JPY rupee rates from the US dollar Reference Rate and cross currency middle rates, and states that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the Reference Rate.
