of <h1>CBEC Updates Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies Under Customs Act, 1962; Effective August 23, 2013, for Import/Export Transactions.</h1> The Central Board of Excise Customs (CBEC) has amended the exchange rates for foreign currencies related to imported and exported goods under the Customs Act, 1962. Effective from August 23, 2013, the updated rates include the Bahrain Dinar, Danish Kroner, Euro, Hong Kong Dollar, Kenya Shilling, Kuwait Dinar, Saudi Arabian Riyal, Swiss Franc, UAE Dirham, U.S. Dollar, and Japanese Yen. These rates are specified for both import and export transactions, with different rates applicable for each type of transaction.
