of <h1>RBI Sets Higher Reference Rates: USD at Rs. 61.8195, Euro at Rs. 82.4510, Adjusted GBP and Yen Rates Announced.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India set the reference rate for the US dollar at Rs. 61.8195 and for the Euro at Rs. 82.4510 on August 16, 2013. These rates were higher than the previous day's rates of Rs. 61.5160 for the US dollar and Rs. 81.6266 for the Euro. Consequently, the exchange rates for the British Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were adjusted to Rs. 96.5682 per GBP and Rs. 63.29 per 100 Yen, respectively, on August 16, 2013. The SDR-Rupee rate is determined based on the reference rate.
