In-principle approval for National Investment and Manufacturing Zones (NIMZs) in Chittoor, Medak and Prakasam districts has been accorded as requested by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The state governments have to develop the zones before any private investment can take place in the same.

The information was given by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Dr. E.M.Sudarsana Natchiappan in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
