The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs.59.7950 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs.78.5222 on July 19, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (July 18, 2013) were Rs.59.7120 and Rs.78.2195 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference rate publication: central bank exchange benchmarks set for major currencies, guiding cross currency and SDR conversions. The Reserve Bank of India issued official Reference Rate benchmarks for the US dollar and the Euro for July 19, 2013, provided corresponding previous day levels, and-using the US dollar reference and middle cross currency quotations-published derived exchange rates for the British pound and Japanese yen; the SDR Rupee rate is stated to be based on the published reference rate.
