The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs. 59.8960 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs. 78.3241 on July 12, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (July 11, 2013) were Rs. 59.6420 and Rs. 77.9850 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Note : The SDR-Rupee rate will be based on the reference rate.

Reference Rate published: central bank updated exchange rate benchmarks leading to revised cross-currency rupee quotes. The central bank published daily Reference Rates for major currencies, giving updated rupee benchmarks for the US dollar and euro and noting the previous day's levels; it computed corresponding rupee rates for pound sterling and yen from the dollar reference and cross currency midrates, and stated the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published reference rate.
