The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs. 58.4515 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs. 77.9110 on June 18, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (June 17, 2013) were Rs. 57.7310 and Rs. 76.9628 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Note : The SDR-Rupee rate will be based on the reference rate.

The Reserve Bank of India publishes daily Reference Rate benchmarks for major currencies, here reporting the US dollar and Euro reference rates for June 18, 2013, compared with the prior day, and uses the US dollar rate together with cross currency middle rates to derive exchange rates for the British pound and Japanese yen; the SDR Rupee rate is based on the announced reference rate.
