The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs. 57.7310 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs. 76.9628 on June 17, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (June 14, 2013) were Rs. 57.7410 and Rs. 77.0225 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Note : The SDR-Rupee rate will be based on the reference rate.

Reference rate publication: exchange rates for major currencies updated and cross-currency derived rates determine SDR rupee linkage. The Reserve Bank released official reference rates for the US dollar and the Euro on June 17, 2013, and published derived pound sterling and yen exchange rates based on the dollar reference rate and cross-currency middle rates; the release specifies that the SDR Rupee rate will be determined on the basis of the published reference rate.
