The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has awarded the first Prof. K. N. Raj Memorial National Fellowship to Prof. Ravi Kanbur of Cornell University. Under this Fellowship, Prof. Kanbur will pursue his research on “Informality: Causes, Consequences and Policy Responses” at Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram.
The Reserve Bank of India instituted Prof. K. N. Raj Memorial National Fellowship Scheme in 2012-13 as a tribute to the invaluable contribution of Prof. K. N. Raj to economic research and policy. The Fellowship is awarded to a distinguished scholar of social sciences from India or abroad to pursue research for a short period in an academic institution in India.
