<h1>India's April 2013 Trade Deficit Widens as Imports Surge 10.96%, Exports See Modest 1.68% Growth.</h1> In April 2013, India's exports, including re-exports, were valued at $24,164.37 million, marking a 1.68% increase in dollar terms from April 2012. Imports for the same period were $41,951.73 million, reflecting a 10.96% rise. Oil imports rose by 3.92% to $14,085 million, while non-oil imports increased by 14.90% to $27,866.7 million. The trade deficit widened to $17,787.36 million from $14,041.28 million in April 2012. In rupee terms, exports grew by 6.71% and imports by 16.45%, with the trade deficit expanding from Rs. 72,750.82 crore to Rs. 96,720.02 crore.
