<h1>Hyderabad Metro Rail Project Secures Rs. 1458 Crore Viability Gap Funding, Covering 12.35% of Total Costs.</h1> The Empowered Committee, chaired by the Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs, approved viability gap funding of Rs. 1458 crore for the Hyderabad Metro Rail project in Andhra Pradesh. This funding constitutes 12.35% of the project's total cost of Rs. 11,814 crore. The project, developed on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) basis, includes 71.16 km of metro rail with 66 stations across three lines. The Union Finance Minister had previously granted in-principal approval for this funding under the Viability Gap Funding Scheme.
