Following an arbitration award involving an Australian company and Coal India Ltd, which resulted in a payment of AUD 9,812,077 to the investor, India plans to review its model BIPA text. This decision was disclosed by a government official in a written statement to the Lok Sabha. The list of countries with active BIPAs includes the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and many others across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
