The Union Minister for Commerce, Industry & Textiles Shri Anand Sharma will leave for a two days visit to Kerala today. Shri Sharma will review issues pertaining to Commerce, Industry and Textile in the southern states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, tomorrow. The review meeting is likely to be attended by the Industry Ministers of these states in Kovalam, Kerala. During the meeting with the Ministers of the states, Shri Sharma is also likely to discuss issues related to plantation, textiles and manufacturing as well as the progress of various relevant schemes in these states.
Later in the day tomorrow, Shri Sharma will meet Shri Oommen Chandy, Chief Minister of Kerala to review the situation of industries and textiles sector of the state. Shri Sharma will also present the Spice Export Awards for 2010-11 and 2011-12 at Kovalam later in the evening.
