Self-certification for export cargo allows EOU removals, subject to prescribed port examination norms and sealing rules.

EOU/EHTP/STP units may remove goods for export on the basis of self certification under CBEC Circular No. 12/2005-Customs; consignments so removed are subject to port examination norms prescribed in Circular No. 6/2002-Customs as amended, and where consignments have been sealed by a Central Excise Officer the norms in para 2.1(A) of Circular No. 6/2002-Customs apply.
