Indemnity Bond - Exchang Control Copy

Pradeep Kaushik

Respected All,

We have misplaced our Exchange Control Copy. We have to remit the payment and Our Bank is asking for 'Indemnity Bond' alongwith other documents.

Can you, please provide me the format of Indemnity Bond for Loss of Exchang Control Copy.

Best Regards.

Pradeep Kaushik

Lost Bill of Entry? Contact CHA for Reconstruction, Not Indemnity Bond. File FIR for Lost Exchange Control Copy. An individual inquired about obtaining an indemnity bond format due to the loss of an Exchange Control Copy necessary for a payment remittance. A respondent advised that instead of filing an indemnity bond, the individual should contact their Customs House Agent (CHA) to obtain a reconstructed copy of the lost Bill of Entry. This reconstructed copy, signed by the Commissioner of Customs, can be obtained for a nominal fee. Additionally, it was recommended to file a First Information Report (FIR) with the local police station. (AI Summary)
