conversion of shipping bill from advance lic scheme to depb scheme

kamal chordia

Dear Sir

Kindly note that we had made export in 2004 under advance licence scheme, due to some reason we can't import under the advance lic  and after 2 revalidation from regional RA , we approach to PRC , Cell Delhi for grant further revalidation but  they refused to allow further revalidation vide there letter dt. 19/11/2010. after rejection we had surrender the advance licence to DGFT and apply to comm, customs, JNCH for converting this shiiping bill from advance licence scheme to DEPB Scheme  (i.e. within 30days from the decision ot PRC cell). we have file our request for converting shippping bill from adv lic scheme to depb scheme in the light of Custom Notification No 36/2010.

We are followup from last two year from custom but we had not received any communication from customs.

Therefore please guide to further take up the matter suitably.

Individual Seeks Shipping Bill Conversion from Advance Licence to DEPB Scheme; No Response from Customs After Two Years An individual inquired about converting a shipping bill from the Advance Licence Scheme to the DEPB Scheme after facing issues with importing under the former. Despite attempts at revalidation and subsequent surrender of the advance license, they applied for conversion in accordance with a customs notification. However, after two years of follow-up, no response was received from customs. A respondent suggested directly contacting the jurisdictional commissioner to discuss the case with relevant facts. I think that you should directly contact with juridictional commissioner in this regard.  Make him understand your case with material facts.
