RBI Approval Not Needed for NRI Trust Investments; FCRA Registration Suffices, Takes Six Months to Process A query was raised regarding the need for Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approval for investments by Indian and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) into a trust. It was noted that the FCRA registration process takes at least six months to complete. (AI Summary)
