Whether Ductile Iron Pipes are declared goods

Are Ductile Iron Pipes Declared Goods? Clarification Sought Under Central Sales Tax Act, 1956, Section 14. A user inquired whether ductile iron pipes are classified as declared goods under the Central Sales Tax Act, 1956. Another participant suggested consulting Section 14 of the Act, which lists declared goods, including various iron and steel items. The inquirer acknowledged this but sought specific confirmation about ductile iron pipes. The responder questioned the necessity of the query if the inquirer was familiar with the provisions, and asked for more details about any technical difficulties. The inquirer clarified that ductile iron pipes are not explicitly listed and sought further assistance on their classification. (AI Summary)

Section 14 of CST Act, 1956 specifies the list of declared goods. There are many items of Iron and Steel specified therein. You may visit this section and check whether your item is covered within the scope of this section or not.

Thanks !

I Know the provision and section 14. If you know specifically, pl reply.

If you know the provisions and item which is to be classified, what is the point of this issue?

Is there any technical difficulty which prevents you to take a decision? If yes, unless I know that difficulty or detail, any view expressed by me would be erroneous.

Thank you for your early response.

The list does not contain specifically Ductile Iron pipes. Is it classifiable under any other head of Iron mentioned in the list? If you have the knowledge of this please help.
