CAPITAL GOODS MOVEMENT

SURYAKANT MITHBAVKAR
We have registered under Central Excise ACT. We are running one more unit where we are doing only labour job and nor applied for excise registration. we require Capital Goods in new unit. Can we transfer the some goods from registered unit where we have availed cenvat credit for same goods if yes which procedure we have to adopt for the removal of goods from registered unit to new unit.
Transfer of Capital Goods Allowed to Unregistered Unit via Notification 214/86 CE and Rule 4, Cenvat Credit Rules 2004. A business registered under the Central Excise Act inquires about transferring capital goods to a second unit, which is not registered and only performs labor jobs. The reply advises that they can transfer goods by following the procedure outlined in notification no. 214/86 CE and Rule 4 of the Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004. This involves notifying the excise department of the job work and sending goods from the registered premises to the job work unit, along with issuing a challan under Rule 4 of the CCR, 2004.
