Government employee outside duties: service rules determine whether permission allows promotion or directorship of a company.
Whether a serving government employee may act as a promoter or serve as a director of a private limited company is governed by the employee's service rules; consult the applicable rulebook because it may prohibit outside commercial engagement or, in some circumstances, the employer may grant permission subject to conditions. (AI Summary)
