Now MEIS Licence are issued upto 31.03.2020 shipping bill by DGFT.

No New MEIS Licence are issue on Shipping bill date after 01.04.2020 by DGFT.

Please tell when New MEIS Licence will start on Shipping bill date after 01.04.2020???

New Scheme RoDTEP had been notified and Government had asked exporter to submit the specific information in R-1, R-2 and R-3 formats along with detailed workings and a certificate from a CA/CWA.

Vide O­ce Memorandum dated July 27, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) has informed that the Ministry of Finance has conveyed to the MoC that it may not be feasible to exceed MEIS allocation beyond INR 9,000 crores for F.Y. 2020-21 (up to December 2020). The aforementioned notification has allocated INR 5000 crores for the period September 2020 to December 2020. Hence, whether MEIS allocation for the period April 2020 to August 2020 is also restricted to 4000 crores? Whether there would be any cap on availment for the said period? Currently, the DGFT has not notified any upper cap / ceiling on MEIS benefits that can be availed for theexports made prior to September 01, 2020.

No notification was issued by the appropriate Government in this regard. But in our view due to international pressure and cases filed in WTO by USA, Japan and other countries against the Export Subsidy as given by Indian Government to Indian Exporters under Chapter 3 of the FTP, the Indian Government may not issue any such notification for the period April to September 2020 as the Government had already allocated 4000 crore for MEIS.
