Can we send Iron Sample to USA , mix with routine Shipments, Weight 1 Ton

AkashDeep Singh

Sir,

We export the iron goods in USA,

We want to send the Iron sample of 1 M.T. and 19 M.T. our Order Material to USA in one container.

Please advice,

Iron Sample Shipment to USA: Separate Invoice, GR Waiver Required; Follow RBI Master Direction Limits. A query was raised regarding the shipment of a 1-ton iron sample to the USA, mixed with routine shipments totaling 19 tons. One response indicated it is permissible to send the sample as long as a separate invoice is issued declaring it as a free sample with no commercial realization, and a GR waiver certificate is obtained from the bank. Another response added that the shipment must comply with the amount limitations prescribed by the RBI's Master Direction, subject to amendments. (AI Summary)

This is also subject to the limitation of amount as prescribed in Master Direction as issued by RBI and amended time to time.
