Time limit for submit of proof of Export

Dear Sir,
Can any one clarify me that what is the time limit for submission of Proof of export to the excise department.

As my knowledge it is six month but my query is

1) Six month count from the date of clearance from factory ?

2) Six month count from the date of clearance from the custom port by custom authority ?

Six month count from the date of clearance from factory ,

But ensure that goods cleared with in six month from the custom port date of clearance from factory. if any unavoidable circumtances arised you may request to AC/DC for time extention towards submission of POE.
