Erroneous swapping of ARE-1 forms

Atul Deshmukh

Dear Sir,

Urgent reply solicited.

Can anyone guide me as to how handle the below situation :-

In one of my friend's place the ARE-1 set of factory stuffed container has been erroneously handed over to the driver of export shipment sent through road and vice versa.

Sea customs also overlook the error. Now sea export shipping bill has reference number of road export shipment ARE-1. Fortunately, the road shipment vehicle has not reported to the land customs station. This error has been pointed out by the CHA of road export shipment.

How to handle this issue now ?

Thanks in advance.

Mistaken ARE-1 Form Swap Between Road and Sea Exports: Guidance Under Section 149 for Resolution An individual sought urgent advice on handling a situation where ARE-1 forms for factory-stuffed containers were mistakenly swapped between road and sea export shipments. The sea customs overlooked this error, and the sea export shipping bill incorrectly referenced the road shipment's ARE-1. The issue was identified by the Custom House Agent (CHA) for the road shipment, which had not yet reached the land customs station. A response advised referring to section 149 for guidance on resolving the situation. (AI Summary)
