Regarding Ed.Cess & SH Cess

Education cess subsumption into revised service tax rate; cesses on excisable goods exempted and remain for services until notified.
Notifications exempt Education Cess and Secondary and Higher Education Cess on all excisable goods, removing those cesses on excisable goods from the notified effective date. For services, the education cesses are being subsumed into a revised service tax rate by amendment; the cesses on taxable services will cease from a date to be notified, but until that date the cesses continue to be levied and the new consolidated rate will take effect when the Government notifies it after enactment. (AI Summary)

Sir

As per new budget Ed. Cess and SH Cess are withdrawn. Is there any tariff where Ed. Cess and SHCess are not withdrawn. Please confirm me.

With thanks and regards

Samik Chaudhuri.
