of <h1>Department of Company Affairs issues notifications on accounting standards, Competition Act, and deposit rules amendments.</h1> The circular from the Department of Company Affairs, Ministry of Finance, dated October 8, 2003, disseminates four notifications to regional directors and registrars of companies. These notifications include: the constitution of the National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards under the Companies Act, 1956 (S.O. 1073(E)); a corrigendum regarding the effective date of certain sections of the Competition Act, 2002 (S.O. 1098(E)); amendments to the Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Rules, 2003 (G.S.R. 774(E)); and an amendment to a previous notification dated July 26, 2001 (G.S.R. 775(E)). Recipients are requested to acknowledge receipt.
