of <h1>CBDT Circular Sets Uniform Monthly Quota of 150 Appeals for Appellate Assistant Commissioners, Effective 1986-87 Financial Year.</h1> The circular issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on July 2, 1986, standardizes the monthly quota for the disposal of appeals by Appellate Assistant Commissioners. Previously, quotas varied between metropolitan and other charges. Effective from the financial year 1986-87, the quota is set at 150 appeals per month, uniformly applied regardless of the location of the charge. This instruction is to be communicated to all Assistant Commissioners within the respective charges.
