This clarification addressed doubts regarding whether availability of space certificates from public bonded warehouses were necessary before granting private bonded warehouse licenses in the same area. The Board determined that applications for private bonded warehouse licenses should be evaluated on their individual merits without considering space availability in existing public bonded warehouses. Field formations were instructed to process private bonded warehouse license applications accordingly, removing this procedural requirement that may have previously caused delays or complications in the licensing process.
