of <h1>Tax Demands: Partial Write-Offs Only If 90% Irrecoverable, Says Board; Commissioners Must Follow Guideline Strictly.</h1> The Board has instructed that partial write-offs of tax demands should only be considered when 90% or more of the demand is irrecoverable. Commissioners are reminded to adhere to this guideline and not to send cases with less than 90% irrecoverable demands to the Board. Previously recommended cases not meeting this criterion will be returned for further recovery efforts. Only after exhausting all recovery avenues and confirming that 90% of the demand is irrecoverable should cases be resubmitted for write-off consideration. The amount written off should be documented separately in the D & CR.
