of <h1>Customs Alert: Halt Cotton Exports Post-Dec 15, 2010; Await New Government Policy.</h1> The Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Excise & Customs has issued instructions to all relevant customs and excise commissioners regarding the export of cotton. The Ministry of Textiles has communicated that the validity of export authorization registration contracts (EARCs) for cotton expires on December 15, 2010. Consequently, the Board is instructed to ensure that no cotton export shipments are allowed after this date until the government establishes a new policy. Commissioners are requested to take necessary actions promptly in accordance with this directive.
