of <h1>New TDS Software Features Simplify Issuance of Multiple Certificates u/ss 197/206C of Income-tax Act.</h1> The circular introduces new functionalities in the TDS software to streamline the issuance of multiple certificates for no deduction or lower deduction of tax under sections 197/206C of the Income-tax Act. Previously, certificates were issued individually, but now two new facilities are available: an Excel-based upload utility and a screen-based option. The Excel utility allows bulk data entry and certificate generation, requiring Winscp software installation. The screen-based option enables data replication for faster entry. These enhancements aim to reduce data entry time and improve efficiency for TDS Assessing Officers.
