This cess aims to fund clean energy initiatives and related research. Until a new Head of Accounts is established, the cess will be temporarily recorded under the Major Head 0038-Union Excise Duty with the accounting code 00380086. Pay & Accounts Officers must maintain separate records for these transactions. Trade associations and chambers are urged to inform their members about this directive.
