of <h1>DGFT Reintroduces Export Release Orders for Sugar Exports under OGL and Advance Authorization from January 2009.</h1> The circular from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, dated September 7, 2010, announces the reintroduction of export release orders for sugar exports under the Open General License (OGL) and Advance Authorization on a 'ton-to-ton' basis effective from January 1, 2009. Regional authorities are instructed to ensure compliance with this directive, prohibiting sugar exports without a release order from the Directorate of Sugar for advance authorizations issued between February 17, 2009, and September 30, 2009, for raw sugar imports. This decision is approved by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
