FTWZ Units Can Hold Goods for Foreign and DTA Parties Under SEZ Rule 18(5) Compliance.
Units in Free Trade and Warehousing Zones (FTWZ) are permitted to hold goods on behalf of foreign suppliers and buyers, as well as Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) suppliers and buyers. This is contingent upon compliance with the provisions outlined in Rule 18(5) of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Rules, 2006. This clarification was issued following a meeting with FTWZ developers, where questions regarding the holding of goods on behalf of various parties were raised.
