of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: Amendments to Appendix 22C & 27 for Mega Power Projects; Competitive Bidding Rules Revised.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended Appendix 22C and Appendix 27 concerning Mega Power Projects in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I, under the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-14. The amendments replace specific paragraphs in Forms 1-A and 1-B of Appendix 22C and Appendix 27, stipulating that the supply of goods to mega power projects in India must follow the International Competitive Bidding procedure or have power tied up or awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding, as per the provisions of paragraphs 8.2 and 8.4.4(iv) of the FTP. The import content of the order must be specified in figures and words.
