of <h1>Mumbai Office Clarified: EPCG Authorizations Follow Chapter 5 Rules, Not SFIS Circular No. 25.</h1> The circular addresses a request for clarification from the Mumbai office regarding the calculation of foreign exchange earnings for redeeming EPCG Authorizations issued to service providers. It clarifies that the provisions of Policy Circular No. 25, dated 01.01.2008, which pertain to the Served From India Scheme (SFIS), do not apply to the EPCG Scheme. EPCG authorizations should be issued and redeemed according to Chapter 5 of the Foreign Trade Policy and Handbook of Procedures Volume I. Regional Authorities are instructed not to apply Circular No. 25 for EPCG redemption. This directive is approved by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
