Nhava Sheva Port Updates ODC Container Scanning Procedures; Direct CFS Movement Allowed Without Scanning Issues.
Public Notice No. 47/2009, dated 29-7-2009, addresses issues related to the scanning of Over Dimensional Containers (ODC) at Nhava Sheva port. It revises procedures to alleviate trade hardships. ODC containers that cannot be scanned due to size may proceed directly to the respective Container Freight Station (CFS) without scanning, with an endorsement of 'ODC-Not Scanned.' Containers marked 'NOT SCANNED' due to scanner issues can be examined by docks officers without needing a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Any misdeclaration found during examination must be reported to the Container Scanning Division. This notice modifies Public Notice 40/2009.
