<h1>Finance Ministry Allows EOUs, EPZs, and EHTPs to Perform Job Work for DTA Units; Exports Only, No Drawback Benefits.</h1> The circular from the Ministry of Finance, dated November 5, 1999, extends permission for 100% Export Oriented Units (EOU), Export Processing Zones (EPZ), and Electronic Hardware Technology Parks (EHTP) in sectors like aquaculture, animal husbandry, electronics hardware, and software to undertake job work for Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) units. The finished products must be exported directly and not returned to the DTA. Shipping Bills will be filed in the name of the DTA unit and assessed by the relevant Customs authority. No drawback or DEPB benefits will be available for such exports. The circular requires wide publicity and feedback on implementation difficulties.
