Finance Ministry Allows Photocopy of Shipping Bill for DEPB-cum-Drawback Claims, Attested by DGFT Officer.
The circular from the Ministry of Finance addresses an issue concerning the DEPB-cum-Drawback Scheme, where exporters have been unable to submit the triplicate copy of the shipping bill to the Custom House for claiming drawbacks. This is because the triplicate copy is required as the EP copy for the licensing authority to grant the DEPB scrip. To resolve this, the Board has decided to accept a photocopy of the shipping bill, attested by a DGFT officer, as the drawback copy. DGFT has already informed their licensing authorities about this change through a previous circular.
