<h1>Export Cap Set for Brown Sea Weeds and Agarophytes from Tamil Nadu; 200 Metric Tons Quota for 1997-98.</h1> A ceiling of 200 metric tons has been established for the export of Brown Sea Weeds and Agarophytes, excluding G-edulis from the Tamil Nadu coast, for the 1997-98 licensing year. Exporters must obtain a Pre-shipment Inspection certificate from the Marine Products Export Development Authority. The export quota is divided equally between the Joint Directors General of Foreign Trade in Mumbai and Chennai, each receiving 100 metric tons. Export licenses will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Port offices must report when the ceiling is reached and submit quarterly shipment reports to the Ministry of Commerce.
