of <h1>DEPB Rate Cuts and Value Caps Won't Affect Consignments Cleared Before Notification Date, Confirms Commerce Minister.</h1> The circular issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade addresses concerns from exporters and Export Promotion Councils about the reduction of Duty Entitlement Passbook (DEPB) rates and the imposition of value caps on certain export products. It clarifies that any reduction in DEPB rates or imposition of value caps will not apply to consignments that have already been handed over to Customs Authorities for examination and clearance before the notification date. This decision has been approved by the Commerce Minister.
