Pharma Exporters Allowed Provisional Exports of Bulk Drug Formulations Pending DEPB Rates; Textile Exports Include Embroidery Options.
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has addressed concerns from pharmaceutical exporters about the lack of notified Duty Entitlement Pass Book (DEPB) rates for bulk drug formulations, which has hindered shipments under the DEPB scheme. Pending the notification of these rates, provisional exports of formulations such as injections, syrups, and tablets are now permitted. Additionally, for textile products with a value cap under DEPB entitlement, exports can include items with or without embroidery. This decision has been approved by the DGFT to facilitate trade under the DEPB scheme.
