of <h1>New SEZ Boundary Wall Guidelines: Height Set by Development Commissioner for IT/ITES; Others at 2.4m or 1.8m with Barbed Wire.</h1> The guidelines issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry detail the norms for constructing boundary walls in Special Economic Zones (SEZs). For IT/ITES SEZs, the Development Commissioner will determine the wall height. For other SEZs, the wall should be either 2.4 meters high or 1.8 meters with an additional 0.6 meters of barbed wire fencing. Any deviations from these standards require approval from the Board of Approvals (BoA). These instructions were disseminated following the 33rd meeting of the Board of Approvals.
