of <h1>Ministry Streamlines SEZ Operations: Developers Can Begin Infrastructure Projects Immediately After Notification.</h1> The circular from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry outlines the default authorized operations for notified Special Economic Zones (SEZs) to expedite project implementation. Developers and Co-Developers can undertake specified activities without delay once an SEZ is notified. These activities include infrastructure development such as roads, water treatment, sewage disposal, electrical networks, telecom facilities, and more, tailored to different types of SEZs like Information Technology, Sector Specific, and Multi-Product SEZs. Development Commissioners may permit duty-free materials for these operations. For other activities, a detailed application to the Board of Approval is required.
