of <h1>Rupee Value Update for Special Currency Basket under Deferred Payment Protocols with Former USSR Effective June 25, 2009.</h1> The circular addresses the revision of the rupee value of the special currency basket related to the Deferred Payment Protocols between the Government of India and the former USSR, dated April 30, 1981, and December 23, 1985. Authorized Dealer Category-I banks are informed that the rupee value has been updated from Rs.64.6153 to Rs.66.5719, effective June 25, 2009. The circular, issued under sections 10(4) and 11(1) of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, instructs banks to notify their constituents and is subject to any necessary permissions under other laws.
