However, if mills accept orders slightly after this deadline to ensure supply, the central excise authorities should not object. Provided all conditions of Notification No. 280/82-C.E. are met, the exemption benefit should not be denied due to late order acceptance. This directive aims to facilitate smooth operations without penalizing mills for minor delays in order acceptance.
