of <h1>Ministry of Finance Clarifies Gadaku Classification as Hookah Tobacco Under Central Excise Tariff Headings 2404.21/2404.29.</h1> The circular from the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, addresses the classification of Gadaku in both lump (laddu) and granule forms under the Central Excise Tariff. After examination, the Board concludes that both forms, used in hookahs or similar smoking devices, are essentially the same in composition. Despite minor differences, such as the amount of molasses and drying process, both are classified as hookah tobacco under Heading No. 2404.21 or 2404.29. This classification is justified due to their similar use and composition.
