The rates are set at Rs. 5, 7, and 11 per kg, contingent on specific conditions. Clarification is provided regarding eligibility: a unit loses exemption benefits if it exceeds either the production limit of 250 tonnes of tread rubber or the clearance value limit of Rs. 1.5 crores for all excisable goods in the preceding financial year. Meeting either of these thresholds disqualifies a unit from the concessional duty benefits.
